You don’t need more motivation, you don’t need more coaching, you don’t need more courses, you don’t need more books, you don’t need more personal development. What you need is to execute and quit making excuses.
I know, I know. You’re probably thinking, this is against all “inspirational” gurus, coaches and authors. Can I be frank with you? It doesn’t matter what those guys SAY, THINK or DO. If they made $10 million this month, bought a lambo and a mansion, would that change your current situation? Nope.
Let me get straight to the point. You turned to this page of the magazine, found an article talking about “inspiration” in hopes to find some magic “gold-nugget” formula to finally help you create the life you’ve always wanted. Well I’m sorry to break it to you. It’s not in this article. So you can stop reading if you’d like. If you’re looking for some straight-talk, no bull-shit, get right to the point value then you’re in the right place.
It’s 2019. You’re living in a world where Amazon is building drones and robots to replace human labor. Where Space X is building spaceships to take human beings to Mars (to escape the robots). Where Apple is creating augmented and virtual reality to allow you to live an entirely different life (for those to can’t get to mars). Yet here we are talking about “inspiration”.
If the world you live in, the people and companies taking action everyday to create a dent in the universe doesn’t inspire you, than you might want to stay till the end. But the only person to decide to read this article until the end has to be you. No one else can make that decision for you. So if you’d decided and committed to reading, than congratulations on taking yet another step towards your goals and aspirations.
Let’s rewind a bit, all the way back to elementary school (yes homeschooling counts as well). Stop and think about your greatest accomplishment in your early school years. What did you accomplish that made you feel exceptional, phenomenal, outstanding? Was it the perfect attendance trophy, how about kicking the winning goal during field day? Take a moment to capture that moment. Relive it for a minute for all the emotions and all the glory.
Now let me ask you, why did you feel the way you felt? What actions led you to that accomplishment? Was it planning, hard work, focus, dedication? What did you have to sacrifice in order to win? A lot right? Time, hard work, failure, falling, arguments, late nights, stress. How old were you by the way?
Fast forward back to this very moment. As you are reading this article. What inspired you to be here today, to do what you have planned today? What goal are you going after? Paying off all debt, obtaining new promotion, closing your first client, finding the right business partner, launching your first app? Whatever the goals and dreams are, what makes this process you are undergoing, any different than the same steps you took to accomplish your goals in your early years?
Nothing. It’s still you, just older.
The same inspiration you had as a kid, is still in you today. Waiting for the next steps and directions to take. The problem isn’t everyone else around us winning and accomplishing the near impossible achievements. It’s us, simply thinking, planning and executing on what we set our minds to. You and I are no different in terms of inspiration, I’m just writing the article and you are reading it. We are both inspired to take the action to be here.
Think about that. We are both inspired to be here. We had to make a conscious decision (thought) and take the time out (plan) our day to write/read to this very point (execute). How amazing is that?
I’ll tell you a secret, you can call it a “gold-nugget” if that’s what you’re really looking for. This article is a part of my bigger vision of becoming a world re-known author, speaker and coach. I thought, planned and executed this published piece. Manifested, Motivated, Masterminded (is that even a word?).
So here we are at the end and I’ll tell you what, statistically 95% of people who read articles, books, magazines like these never think, plan or execute what is advised. But I’m glad you’re not the 95%. You’re not even the 5%. You’re the 1%. The 1% of people who make it to the end of articles, books, blogs, courses, etc. to realize that you’ve had it within you the whole time. The ability to accomplish everything you’ve wanted in life. Because from our early years till now, all we’ve been doing is simply thinking, planning and executing our decisions. Decisions create our results.
Therefore decide now, what is it that you want to accomplish today and how that accomplishment will align with the bigger goal, vision and why. And simply execute.
P.s. quit making excuses. I sure didn’t that’s why you get to have an article to read.
